Here are my personal top 3 Grammy performances from last night's 51st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
1. Radiohead - 15 Steps
The sound coming out of my speakers when Radiohead performed was amazing as always. Thom Yorke is a genius. IMHO because I cannot figure out for the life of me how he comes up with that stuff and makes it sound so good. It has a dreamlike quality to me. Usually when people incorporate live marching bands into a show I tend to find it gimmicky and think it takes away from the quality of the sound but this time the USC marching band fit right in and only enhanced the performance.
2. Swagga Like Us - M.I.A., Kanye West, Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne, T.I.
Now this was a classic moment. IMO Kanye and Jay-Z kill the song at the beginning (in a good way) then it goes downhill from there. I always thought that about the song. So for the sake of M.I.A., Kanye, and Jay, this is #2. Plus you gotta love the 'Rap Pack' tuxedo swag.
3. Jennifer Hudson - You Pulled Me Through
Jennifer Hudson...enough said. Wow.
So what do you think? Agree...disagree...agree to disagree?
